About the zoo

Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens was founded in 1892 by his highness
Late Sri Chamarajendra Wadiyar Bahadur, erstwhile ruler of Mysore.
It is located in the heart of the city and covers an area of 117.41 Ha.
