About the zoo

Thyavarekoppa Lion and Tiger Safari is located the state of Karnataka with an area of 250 hectares, at a distance of about 10.0 km from Shimoga. There are 4 Lions, 7 Tigers are there in the Safari. At present the Zoo falls in ‘Small Zoo’ Category as per the classification of Zoo’s by the Central Zoo Authority
