"ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯತಾ ದಿನ" ವನ್ನು, ಆರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ದೊಂದಿಗೆ , " ಸಕಲ ಜೀವರಾಶಿಗಳ ಸಹಬಾಳ್ವೆ ರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ , ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ  ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

"ಅಪಾಯದ  ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಭೇಧ" ಗಳ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು,

ಅಪಾಯದ ಕಾರಣಗಳು, ನಾವುಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ "ಜೀವವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ" ಯಲ್ಲಿ,"ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆ" ರೂಪಿಸಿರುವ 22  ಮಾರ್ಗಸೂಚಿ ಯನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಬಹುದು

ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಬನ್ನೇರುಘಟ್ಟ ಜೈವಿಕ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನದ ಮಾಹುತರು, ಅಪಾಯದ ಅಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ "ಏಷ್ಯಾದ ಆನೆಗಳ" ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು , ಜೈವಿಕ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾತ್ರ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ "ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ" ಕೈಗೊಂಡರು.

Biodiversity Day was celebrated through an awareness programme along the theme of "Building a shared future for all life".  Information was shared about endangered species, reason for threat and ways we can join hands to conserve biodiversity through the 22 actions as recommend by United Nations. Mahouts also shared further information about ex situ Conservation of the endangered Asian Elephant at Bannerghatta Biological Park .Visitors also took pledge on how they will contribute to conserve biodiversity from their end
