Overall 60 photographers participated in the competition with a total of 153 photographs for both Zoo (66) and Wildlife (87) categories. The award-winning and selected photos are displayed in the exhibition which will be open for visitors between 9.30 am and 5 pm till 7th October.

The connecting path has been designed in such a way that tourists can walk amidst sylvan surroundings from the Zoo to the Karanji Lake that is known for its rich biodiversity and a destination to see resident and migratory birds. The path has been constructed by the Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) following suggestions from many tourists that the Zoo and the Karanji Lake must be linked.

Ravi, Member Secretary, Zoo Authority of Karnataka, Shri Neil Bemmet, Zoological Consultant and Conservation Advocate, Shri Jagathram, APCCF (Project Tiger) and Shri Ajith Kulkarni, Executive Director of Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, are seen.
Mysuru Zoo has taken immense pleasure to organize a 3 day workshop on “Recent Trends In Captive Wild Animals Management” from 7/1/2019 to 9/1/2019. The venue of the workshop is Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Mysuru, Karnataka. The participant of the workshop is only Veterinarians working at various zoos of India, wildlife division of Karnataka and wildlife post graduate students. In this workshop, we have invited two international speakers and seventeen speakers from other resources. The workshop covers 19 topics which would help in better wildlife management and the session is mainly focused on main aspects related to captive wild animal management.
